b-side is delighted to share Keloid, our first solo presentation with the Bandung-based artist Immartyas (b. 1996, Bandung; lives and works in Bandung).
Keloid opens by invitation on 24 January 2026 and by appointment on 25 January through 22 February 2026. The gallery will be closed on Monday, Tuesday, and public holidays. Immartyas (b. 1996, lives and works in Bandung) describes herself as a “drawer.” She cuts, scratches, and assembles materials, making tactility central to her practice. With a background in printmaking, she explores how marks emerge through pressure and has developed methods with translucency to probe the interlocking of absence and weight, and how they accumulate sedimentations over time.
In 2025, she presented her solo exhibition taswir at RUBANAH Underground Hub, Jakarta. She received the Bronze Award at the 2024 UOB Painting of the Year, completed a printmaking residency at Chetak 12, Kuala Lumpur (2019), and has exhibited at RUBANAH Pavilion; Thailand Biennale, Chiang Rai; National Art Gallery of Malaysia; HOM Art Trans, Kuala Lumpur; and the Vietnam Fine Art Museum.
