ROH Distrik Seni x Sarinah: Berkelanjutan!

ROH is pleased to share the participation of Arin Dwihartanto Sunaryo and Uji “Hahan” Handoko at Distrik Seni X Sarinah entitled “Berkelanjutan!”. This second iteration invites 30 Indonesian artists showing more than 100 works.

Sarinah is not merely a nostalgic memory to Soekarno, it has become an ideology that embodies a humble economic system just like Sarinah, his foster mother, who mothered and protected him and taught him about taking sides of the poor.

The theme Distrik Seni X Sarinah: Berkelanjutan! motivates to present cutting-edge artwork. 30 individual artists and collectives that take part in this second iteration are all of strong characteristics, as well as each own uniqueness to explore the notion of sustainability through local cultural perspective.

Distrik Seni is an art project platform that aims to serve the need for spaces of empowerment, innovation and marketplace development as well as the visual art ecosystem in Jakarta, which used to be scarce in the city and moreover, the country.
