We are pleased to share Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi’s participation at Basel Social Club, where he will be showing interactive site-specific outdoor sculptures that contain locally cultivated mushrooms that interact with the living environment. Garibaldi has been developing a series of white plaster sculptures, Lartucira, that act as cavities for the growth of various forms of fungi that will be morphing and growing throughout as well as beyond the duration of the exhibition — expressing the notions of life, decay, and death, and their essential roles in ecological cycles.
