b-side is delighted to announce , a solo exhibition by Seoul-based graffiti writer Dimz.

“In redevelopment areas, graffiti interventions briefly breathe life into fading spaces, creating a sensory connection with the city. Within vast construction sites, constantly dismantled and demolished structures appear like dying inanimate matter. Yet through experimental interventions on them, they are temporarily transformed into something that feels alive.”
-Dimz, July 2025.

Dimz's works attend to fleeting moments in the urban experience, seeking gaps where a presence can be asserted. The outsider complex bred by his street practice eventually drove him to the refuge of abandoned spaces, offering distance from risk and tension. In these spaces, beyond the reach of surveillance, Dimz becomes the observer. These redevelopment zones let him organise his thoughts more freely and reconfigure his relationship to the city, a different kind of freedom and a renewed awareness of his emotional connection to the city.

Three redevelopment areas from his youth in Seoul are woven into the works here, represented in mediums of painting, zines, and a graffiti work. Within the city's cycle of disappearance and rewriting, graffiti follows in agile response, mirroring the city's shifting rhythm of construction and deconstruction. relays Dimz’s interest in how individual lives and the city itself are emotionally intertwined.
