We are pleased to announce Bagus Pandega’s solo exhibition, “A Pervasive Rhythm” at YAMAMOTO GENDAI viewing room from 9 June to 14 July 2018
Pandega was born in 1985 in Jakarta, Indonesia and currently based in Bandung. For his first exhibition in Japan, the artist showcases a large-scale installation to utilize the space with 450 of turn signal lights taken from motorcycle parts and perpetual sound synchronization of the noise generated by modular synthesizer sound. The installation centers DMX (Digital Multiplex) to control digital information and a display of the animated eyes by numerous flickering lights invite audience to step into an exhibition floor. “Not only do these turn lights indicate directions on the road, they also designate our future,” Pandega says.
On this special occasion, the artist will be present for the opening and during the exhibition.
